About us
Our history
opus® was created in 2003 as a family run business to provide a more ordinary life to ostomates. This was driven by having ostomates and stoma care nurses in the family who were focused on creating innovative products to combat daily problems.
These included the first and only stoma bridges, bag on valve technology in spray cans to reduce stinging and wastage, and the first lubricating deodorant of its kind.
To complete the range, in 2021 we launched our collection of stoma pouches, naturfit®. We found that adhesion and leakage were key problems with pouches available on the market and so sought to find a solution to this.
About opus®
We are more than just stoma specialists. opus® is part of a bigger team that has decades of experience in nutrition, dermatology and scar management.
We work closely with Healthcare Professionals to ensure that our products are fit for purpose and providing value to patients. We use this expertise to offer education and support so that you are being looked after as an ostomate first.

Our aim
We manage your stoma with a full range of products so that you can spend more time doing what you love. We understand that having a stoma is life changing and that you might experience issues including skin irritation, leakage, and ballooning.
Our aim is to give you the tools to minimise these issues. We’re committed to listening to your needs and developing the right solutions.
Working together
We are recognised by the British Healthcare Trades Association, and work closely with patient associations like Colostomy UK, Urostomy Association and Ileostomy & Internal Pouch Association at a national and regional level.
We attend patient days to make sure we are speaking to ostomates directly, and you can find us there or find your local opus® representative here.
